Whoa. I feel really dead this morning. I actually forgot my usual shot of 3-in-1 coffee before I went to work, and boy, I was super sleepy. Just now, one supervisor saw me close to sleeping, and she nearly caught me viewing blogs, no thanks to my lethargic reflexes.
But not to worry! There is Starbucks below my workplace! So after putting a notepad note to say I went to the toilet to do some big business, I zoomed straight down to ask some strong coffee. I thought that starbucks' double shot expresso is already strong enough, but no... the guy at the counter showed me the light. He gave me a TRIPLE shot expresso.
Walkie walkie talkie talkie...
Starbucks Crew: Wait a moment, be right up in a moment...
Me: ok... blah blah snore....
Starbucks Crew: Whoa, are you okay?
Me: I feel so sleepy...*stares at the board* Is the starbucks double shot your strongest coffee you have?
Starbucks Crew: Not really... I have this customer that looks like a zombie. Comes in the wee hours of the morning. After gulping down an order of our triple shot, he looks like a normal man that can't blink his eyes. Do you want one sir?
Me: Alright... Give me one, and add in a chocolate biscotti.
Starbucks Crew:*Grinds coffee bean three times, brews three times* Here you go sir.
Now being the dumb ass that I am, I thought that the whole mug of goodness that would keep you up at all times. I nearly thought that I got cheated when I saw the contents: a black, murky liquid that didn't fill up to even half of the mug. It had a slight brown bubbly froth at the top, which I thought was a faint mixture of coffee and milk. So this is the EXPRESSO. So little! That's the Typical Singaporean for ya.
When I saw the black stuff below, I quickly went to the receptacle, grabbed a flask of milk, and poured it until it was half mug full. After sipping a little, I nearly vomitted.
Holy Sheeeet, It Tasted Horrible. Nearly to claim the first place beside the most bitter herbal tea in the world. But it was effective. It made me perk up. Not wanting to make the worst out of it, I dunked the biscotti into the mug and let the rock-hard sweet biscuit slowly soften up and dissolve into the drink. It tasted a whole lot better after that, and boy... I felt good...
Chocolate and Coffee are a couple that takes you to paradise...
Even as I am typing now, I don't feel like sleeping! Yay! Now I can write more testimonials for my friends! I can Alt-Tab faster than my supervisor could walk in and find out what the hell is happening to me! And I feel more like blogging rubbish! Yeah! Starbucks Coffee Expresso R0x0rs! Only With that extra Extra EXTRA Sugar and Sweetness!
:-) although it cost me $5.55 - $1.10(biscotti) = $4.45(Expresso) to keep me alive... ;-(
