On Anime
----------
Watched Mai HiME, thinking it would it could be nice considering the popularity in the forums... and realised it's actually a for-the-girls-kind-of-anime.... and I thought I heard bi-shoujo....
hmm... the audience scope would be somewhere between Fruits Basket, which is pretty mild, and Maria-Sama Ga Miteru, which goes purely shoujo...
Still, I can't help but say that the series is not bad, with some interesting and humorous episodes. But maybe I seem too sexist in this series to give such a good rating... considering the main protoganist character to be a strong and self-believing female...
The manga's better still in my opinion...
On another note, Athrun fans got some kind of reprise when he got into a fight with suddenly all evil Shinn Asuka.... hahaha... good~~~
On Books
----------
The decision to do some recreational reading came as a shock to me, since I have not taken up reading novels and such for at least three years... For the past three years, the only books I've been reading, are documentations on computer languages, and comic books.
The habit of reading novels was forcefully reinforced in secondary school to improve my skills in writing a fuller and more complete plot in my composition. I even used sentences directly from the novels to give a fuller impression on the landscape in my compo. Gah... what's the point of talking the past...
Well, the computer is not available to me all day long, and surprise, surprise, when my sister bought the books The Da Vinci Code, and Angels And Demons back home. Yes, the former is a famous bestseller in New York, and the latter is another good title by the same author, Dan Brown.
Yes, ages after the books were out and widely discussed...
Oh well, I finished Angels and Demons, and The Da Vinci Code's the next.... Maybe I could give a steal for the Digital Fortress after that, which sounds interesting to me... or read up on the remaining novels my sis bought...
On Music
----------
This seems to be an odd time to hear about music, but yeah, recently there're these songs from X Japan that keeps rolling in my head. Most music I've heard do not have a long impression on me, because they seem have some low points in their parts of their songs...
Like the song Faith by Limp Bizkit. The first part of the song was awesome, with the lyrics gripping my heart so much... but the second part where they started scratching the disk and crooning on a hallucinating tone turned me off...
Then I took an alternative preference for Anime OST OPs and EDs. These 1:25 minute songs are short, but have that kick to keep you listening... At least, there are no low points that get uninteresting...
Now, three songs from X Japan. Tears. X. Forever Love. Been playing them for the whole week, but it ain't not boring at all...
Surprises and Wows aside, maybe I should go and buy my first personal album. X Japan released an All Time Hits CD...
