Good Friday

I used up my good public holiday....retracing the steps on how i got lost....

Tons of pics, but here are some extras that I saw on the way:

A innovative way to kill mozzies Posted by Picasa

It was raining heavily on Good Friday, and the weather really dampens the mood. In the end, I got off at Orchard Rd after parting ways with my botak cousin. passed by some shopping centres.... Orchard Emerald looks old and torn down, and so the centre beside it... what is more surprising are the insides:

1) two sex shops
2) five massage centres
3) one hobbyist shop
4) two foot reflexology centres..

And all they need is a little good marketing....

Then I saw this 'machine' during a stroll along Centrepoint, passing by some DIY shop. They actually attract the mozzies in, suck them in down below, and wait for them to die of dehydration?

wow... why gah-men nv promote this ah?

The rain finally stopped, and I continued retracing my journey... and I hit into some historical places...

Yes... Central Fire Station.... the things that can keep a boy so captivated... by all these machinery.... the gungho... the heroics... the.... trucks? (read: Hammie in Baby Blues)

the legendary clock Posted by Picasa

This clock has been preserved.... and the heritage centre closes at 5pm. Thanks for telling me ah, 2WO sir, but no need to be desperate to get back home right?

Did I mention that the movement of the seconds hand is so fluid, that it's unbelievable?

And the armenian church.... Do you know that the roof is actually dome-shaped... Too bad for the structral problems.... it got replaced with a spire sloped roof... although the interior still looks like a dome to me...

Armenian Church Posted by Picasa

armenia compared to the caspian region Posted by Picasa

And I thought the culture of the Middle East isn't that diversified..... So is the armenian church the same as a normal church? Do they have the same beliefs?

It's gonna take a lifetime to understand what everyone believes in...
