Sending off

Watched the Fantastic 4 at the box office yesterday, and I must say that the movie is not bad... but not as good as batman begins. The Human Torch is good at joking, making the Thing the root of most of his jokes. Mr Fantastic always has that unexpected scientific twist in using words, and The Invisible Women... woo... sexy...

Nigel is going off very soon for his Jungle Confidence Course, and we had dinner at Billy Bombers. On the way, we met up with Chin Fee. We were walking at a speed so fast, she just passed us by and only got to notice me I think... I was spacing out then, then Chin Fee shouted my name, and caught me by surprise, as Weiliang and Wenyao was in front. At that time, I was thinking to myself, whether to stop for a bit, and chat since it's been while since we met, but the group's so far away, that I ended up waving and saying bye to her.

We also met someone else too... by that time I was already playing guessing games... because it's been a while, at least two years. I vaguely remembered the name started with an A...

Ahmad? No....

Amir? No way, he's the indian guy who got that accent...

Amin? Oh come on, he's the one who took over me at Logistics.

It's only after I browsed a bit on Melvin's site, that I found out his name is Aliff.

Hahah... oh man... long term memory loss?

Anyways, here we were at Billy Bombers, and suddenly, almost everyone are going overseas... including Rumei who is going overseas to study.

The discussions were very enlightening, with everyone revealing their experiences... What struck a chord with me was the part where Andre and Gen were talking about whiny... parents.

I've got no grudges against my parents... and I'm sure everyone's parents are different too. Yeah, my parents are whiny, saying about how I should be living on my own, and be able to do all kinds of stuff they are doing. And yet, at the same time, they still provide the kind of homely security that's a little annoying at times...

Now the approach is different when my siblings and I are told to do stuff more than once. Most of the time, we are caught up in doing some stuff, using the computer, playing games, watching TV and such...

I usually let the whining linger for about 5 minutes, which is about the same time my current task comes to a successful pause. Then I slowly do what is needed, and whine back at my parents on how and what to do... haha...

My younger brother responds the fastest most of the time, but does one heck of a bad job out of it... and eventually he gets whined all the more by my parents...

My sister gets the worst treatment... well, I can't blame her... Mother whines, she just says she knows already and continues on her activity. Five minutes later, Mum comes again, and she says the same thing. By the time she decides to do it, my mum would have done the stuff already, my dad would be roaring at her on how her procastination has pissed off my mum and him, and my brother and I would be ranting at her. Then she goes into a crazy fit, and goes off to work, or out of the house to somewhere....

Oh man... I think I got a little carried away here.... no offence guys and girls, bruddas and sistas...

Anyway, the meet-up got changed a bit, but it's always good: watch a movie in the afternoon, walk a bit, shop a bit, have dinner, get into some great discussions, walk a bit, shop a bit, and for some, go clubbing... So far, so good... not like the last time where we had movies late in the night, hang out at some expensive nighttime hawker centre, and fade away slowly... heh heh...

Alright... I'm gonna have my dinner soon, will post a blog about it...
